Elite Robots raises RMB 200 million to automate optical communications and AI server lines
Chinese cobot maker Elite Robots raised a RMB 200 million round led by CCB Equity Investment. The money targets optical communications and AI server production, which is turning the company into a supplier to China's AI hardware build-out.
Elite Robots, a Chinese cobot maker, has raised a new RMB 200 million round led by CCB Equity Investment, with existing strategic shareholders following on, Zhidx reported. The money is meant to take the company further into optical communications and AI server production, fund its models, and equip lines at a new factory.
Elite made its name in consumer electronics and cars: BYD once placed a single order for 3,000 of its cobots, and Luxshare and Lens Technology are customers. That business is still growing. Elite said in August that exports made up 33% of its 2025 volume, and Zhidx reports overseas sales rose about 170% in the first half of this year.
The new money points somewhere else. Optical-module maker Zhongji Innolight led a RMB 600 million round earlier this year, according to Ruicaijing, which also reports that Elite's new plant in Suzhou sits next to Innolight's factory to make on-site debugging, joint validation and delivery easier. Elite's backer is now also its neighbour, and, if the optical-communication lines it is funding come through, its customer. Elite says its Primo industrial model is already trained on data from optical-communication and 3C production lines.
