On Oct 16, FAIRINO said it closed back-to-back C+ and D rounds totaling nearly RMB 1 billion, led by Meituan Longzhu and Meituan respectively. On the company's announced figures, that brings 2026 funding to about RMB 1.7 billion in seven months, after a March C round of about RMB 720 million. The Suzhou maker of collaborative robots says the money goes first to the component production capacity behind its forecast of 18,000 cobot orders for 2026. Its ART humanoid arms are the add-on.

Meituan's two leads buy a cobot volume business heading toward an IPO. Yongxin Capital, Shishan Phase II and Suzhou Innovation Investment joined the October rounds, while existing shareholders Guolian Minsheng Capital, Su Chantou and Qingliu Capital added to their stakes. Meituan Longzhu was already an investor, beside Alibaba, Shunwei Capital and Hillhouse Ventures. FAIRINO converted to a joint-stock company in March 2026 and began pre-IPO tutoring in September with the Jiangsu bureau of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, according to a report carried by ifeng. The company says the main use of funds is fixed investment in capacity for its own controllers, encoders, servo drives, harmonic reducers, servo motors and brakes, with expansion and R&D in industrial embodied AI that includes the ART arms and the AIRLab platform.

The 2026 target is 18,000 orders, up 68%

FAIRINO forecasts 18,000 global order units in 2026, up 68%, which implies about 10,700 units in 2025 on the same basis. It expects overseas sales to rise 87%, split across Europe at 46%, Japan at 16%, North America at 13% and Southeast Asia at 11%. The company, citing GGII, says it ranked first among Chinese cobot brands in total sales and overseas shipments in 2025, with nearly 10,000 customers, more than 50 overseas sales outlets and three service centers. Its FR line spans 11 models with 3 to 35 kg payloads, and its named users include NASA, HD KSOE, Panasonic and DENSO.

Two agreements cover 4,000 humanoid arms

FAIRINO launched the ART series of industrial humanoid force-controlled arms in August 2026 and says it has supplied such arms since 2024. It reports 7 degrees of freedom, force repeatability at or below 0.15 N and 0.05 Nm and position repeatability of ±0.03 mm, with ART7 rated at 7 kg and 10 kg peak. Two cooperation agreements cover 2,000 arms each, with Boyin Hechuang and with the sewing-equipment maker Jack Technology, 4,000 arms in total, about 22% of the 18,000-unit cobot forecast, counting units of two different products. If either agreement carries a 2026 delivery schedule, the arms would weigh on this year's order target as more than an add-on; neither timeline has been disclosed.

The case against calling the arms an add-on sits in the deal itself. Meituan led the D round directly, and FAIRINO lists the ART arms and AIRLab among the uses of the money. Next to a cobot year of 18,000 units, 4,000 agreed arms would be a sizable share.

Two answers are still open: how many of the 4,000 agreed ART arms ship, and whether the pre-IPO tutoring the company began in September turns into a listing.
