Unitree's H2-X humanoid runs about 8 hours, but only while standing
Unitree released the H2-X "Kung Fu Legend" humanoid in a video on Oct. 21, saying it runs about 8 hours under standing conditions. The company has not published the robot's specifications.
Unitree released the H2-X "Kung Fu Legend" humanoid robot through a video on its official channel on Oct. 21 and said it runs for about 8 hours. According to China Securities Journal, that figure applies under standing conditions. Unitree's H2 product page lists battery life of about 3 hours and notes that parameters vary by scenario and configuration, so the two numbers do not measure the same thing.
No H2-X specifications have been published, Sina Tech and IT Home report. For reference, the H2 stands 1,820 mm, weighs about 70 kg with the battery, has 31 degrees of freedom and a 0.972 kWh battery, and sells for $29,900. The video pitches the H2-X at security and emergency rescue: it kicks a car door until it deforms, lifts a car by hand and lands from a 4-meter platform after a flip. For a guard robot, hours of standing are part of the job, which is the best case for the number Unitree chose.
The video also carries Unitree's own note asking customers to keep people at least 2 to 3 meters away from the robot.
