AgiBot puts first-half revenue near RMB 2 billion, ahead of Unitree and UBTECH, and proposes Worken, a unit for robot work hours

AgiBot said its revenue for the first half of 2026 was close to RMB 2 billion, more than Unitree or UBTECH made in the same period, and proposed Worken, a measure of how many hours robots work on their own. The metric would move the scoreboard from robots built to work done.

AgiBot made close to RMB 2 billion in revenue in the first half of 2026, co-founder, president and CTO Peng Zhihui said at the company's Innovation Day on Oct. 29. That beats the RMB 1.152 billion Unitree and the RMB 1.269 billion UBTECH reported for the same six months, MyDrivers noted, and comes close to the RMB 1.817 billion Unitree booked in nine.

Peng used the same stage to propose a new way of keeping score. He called it Worken, short for "effective intelligent working hours": the number of active robots, multiplied by the hours they work autonomously, multiplied by an output-efficiency ratio. He set it alongside horsepower, the kilowatt-hour and the AI token as the unit for its era of machines, and the Shanghai Observer reported that billing in the industry could shift from selling or renting robots by the unit to charging for effective hours and output. That is a bet on physical AI being sold as labour, and AgiBot, which leads on units, is the company most likely to set the terms. Worken becomes a scoreboard only once AgiBot publishes its own fleet's number.

Six months of 2026 brought in nearly twice all of 2025

AgiBot's revenue was RMB 300,000 in 2023, RMB 60 million in 2024 and RMB 1.05 billion in 2025, according to figures it disclosed in April, MyDrivers reported. A person close to the company told the outlet it expects about RMB 4.5 billion for 2026.

Units grew as fast. Counterpoint puts AgiBot's first-half shipments at about 9,700 humanoid robots, a 43.1% global share and the largest of any maker, against more than 5,000 shipped in all of 2025, according to the Shanghai Observer. Production runs ahead of deliveries: cumulative output passed 10,000 robots in March and 15,000 in June, CNMO reported, and the 20,000th came off the line in September.

The comparison with UBTECH shows why counting units alone says little. UBTECH sold 16,123 humanoids in the first half, but only 921 were full-size models, and those brought in RMB 590 million of its revenue, The Paper reported in August.

AgiBot's 20,000th robot was an Expedition A3 Ultra, delivered in September to Chimelong Group at its Hengqin Chimelong Spaceship park, according to MyDrivers. Under Worken, a robot at a theme park counts for the hours it works on its own.
