Faraday Future's FFR sold a record 351 robots in October; a 2,000-unit year needs about 416 a month
FF EAI Robotics Ecosystem sold and shipped 351 robots in October, up from 265 in September, taking its total to 1,168. Hitting about 2,000 this year means roughly 416 a month to December, and schools are the only market buying at scale.
FF EAI Robotics Ecosystem (Nasdaq: FFR), Faraday Future's newly listed robot business, sold and shipped 351 robot devices in October, a monthly record, CEO YT Jia said in his Nov. 1 investor update. That is up from 265 in September and takes the total since deliveries began at the end of February to 1,168.
FFR's guidance is about 2,000 devices this year, which leaves 832 for November and December, or about 416 a month, 18.5% above the October record. The company expects more than 400 a month. Where those units go matters more than the count. Of FFR's four target markets, only education is expanding, from Los Angeles into the Bay Area and Silicon Valley; security and inspection is at proof of concept, commercial services is still validating use cases, and industrial and logistics is in development. The year-end number will measure what schools buy, not whether businesses put humanoid robots to work.
The trend is steep. FFR shipped 575 units in the third quarter, so October alone beat the roughly 240 it shipped from February through June. Jia says FFR keeps delivering at a positive gross margin per unit.
The mix decides what the record is worth. FF sells the Nova Mini at $299 and the Nova humanoid at $2,490; if most of the 351 were Minis, October's record belongs mostly to an education kit.
