FF EAI Robotics Ecosystem (Nasdaq: FFR) and Faraday Future Intelligent Electric (Nasdaq: FFAI) launched the FF Nova humanoid robot on Oct 15 at $2,490, alongside the $299 FF Nova Mini and a $499 curriculum. FF calls Nova America's first humanoid priced below $2,500.

FF is selling a sales channel and a developer program as much as a machine, and its own risk disclosures tie the price to trade policy. The same release, which also covers a $200 million all-stock deal for FFAI's robotics business, lists Faraday Future's reliance on Chinese OEMs for all of its robotics products, on a single OEM for most of them, and the possibility of a federal ban on Chinese robotics imports. Under such a ban, the sticker price would matter less than whether FF could get units at all.

The company says Nova has 20 degrees of freedom, can get back up after being knocked over, and carries LiDAR, wide-angle vision, depth sensing and a microphone array. It ships with an open SDK and a ROS 2 workflow, and a developer program on the NVIDIA Isaac platform trains skills in simulation before testing them on a physical Nova, a sim-to-real loop.

Phase One is invitation-only and capped at 100 units, 20 of them ready to ship. The counter-case is software: FF plans a Skills Store where developer-made skills could be shared and possibly monetized, a layer a pure reseller would not bother to build. Those first 20 owners will show whether anyone fills it.
