Galbot and Fourier back YITA Dynamics, a five-month-old joint maker, in over 100M yuan seed rounds
Shenzhen-based YITA Dynamics closed seed and seed+ rounds totaling more than 100 million yuan from investors including Matrix Partners China, SenseTime Guoxiang Capital, CCB International, Galbot and Fourier. The company makes planetary joint modules and force-control arms for humanoid makers and embodied-AI teams.
YITA Dynamics, a Shenzhen maker of robot joints and force-control arms, has closed seed and seed+ rounds totaling more than 100 million yuan, according to PEdaily and Beijing News. Matrix Partners China, SenseTime Guoxiang Capital, CCB International and L2F invested alongside two humanoid makers, Galbot and Fourier, which are the kind of buyer YITA sells to. Founder Zhong Xuegang ran Fourier's humanoid power unit, where he led three generations and more than 20 actuator and joint-module models with cumulative output of nearly 50,000 units for the GR1, GR2 and GR3.
The product claim is about cost. YITA says its compound planetary force-control joint reaches about 83% transmission efficiency and costs about 50% less than the traditional harmonic design it was compared with, while its hardened-gear transmission lasts over 20,000 hours, about two to three times the traditional solution's life. SenseTime Guoxiang partner Yu Jun said the company is about to enter large-scale delivery. So the round lines up supply of a cheaper planetary joint with two likely buyers more than it validates demand.
For now the demand is on paper: strategic cooperation intentions worth tens of millions of yuan with embodied-brain companies, humanoid makers and research labs, at a company that L2F partner Lin Yiwei said was founded five months ago.
