Bedrock Robotics raises $600M Series C at $4.1B valuation
Bedrock Robotics raised a $600 million Series C co-led by CapitalG and Emergence Capital at a $4.1 billion post-money valuation on Oct 26. The company says fully autonomous excavators began paid work on live commercial sites in mid-August.
Bedrock Robotics said Oct 26 that it raised a $600 million Series C at a $4.1 billion post-money valuation, co-led by CapitalG and Emergence Capital. Its valuation more than doubled in about eight months: the company raised $270 million at a $1.75 billion valuation in February, Bloomberg reported. The main new evidence is roughly two months of paid, fully autonomous excavator work, which Bedrock says began in mid-August.
According to TechCrunch, Bedrock-equipped excavators are working commercially at a Nevada water treatment facility, a Champion Site Prep earthwork site in Texas and a 1.2 million-cubic-yard Zachry Construction project. Bedrock says its total customer volume has more than doubled since 2025 and names new contractors across the Midwest and South Atlantic. Newest partner Haydon, a Tempe, Arizona contractor, is deploying on a remote Texas site for fully autonomous earthwork. Bedrock did not say how many machines are deployed or what revenue they bring in.
Founded in 2024 by former Waymo engineers, Bedrock retrofits existing excavators with an autonomy kit and aims to build toward mixed fleets that self-orchestrate across a job site. CEO Boris Sofman said the machines have done "real work of value alongside the crews and workflows already in place." The company describes the paid work as a milestone for physical AI. The round brings total funding to nearly $1 billion.
Other recent autonomy-for-industry rounds include Gravis Robotics' $200 million in August, Eka Robotics' $150 million last week and Formic's $50 million, according to The Next Web.
