JD puts Anyverse Dynamics' K15 robot in two 7Fresh coffee shops and plans 1,000-plus stores

Anyverse Dynamics' K15 robot has started work in two of JD.com's 7Fresh Coffee shops, and the companies plan to roll it out to more than 1,000 7Fresh stores, Jiemian reported on Oct. 31 after they signed a strategic agreement. The first robots sold to outside customers through JD's platform have been delivered, and the partners set a goal of RMB 1 billion in product cooperation.

JD is on three sides of this deal. A JD-affiliated fund joined the Beijing embodied AI startup's angel round of more than $200 million in June, per China Fund News. JD is also its retail customer and sales channel. The RMB 1 billion is a shared goal of a kind JD has set before: in June it agreed with Magic Atom to aim for RMB 1 billion in sales of Magic Atom products on JD's platform, Shanghai Securities News reported. How many of the 1,000-plus stores get a K15 will say more about demand than that figure.

In the shops, the K15, a wheeled two-armed semi-humanoid, works with an automated production line to run each order without staff, IT Home reported, citing the company. Zhang Yufeng, a former Horizon Robotics vice president, founded the company in 2025. By June the K15 was in volume production, with orders worth nearly $100 million from customers including Envision, ZF LIFETEC and Omoway, according to China Fund News.

The K15's wrist turns within a 30 mm radius, and it can work where the space around it is no wider than 800 mm, IT Home reported.
