RoboScience raises a Series A2 of several hundred million yuan, pitching robot training data at 0.05 yuan a sample
Chinese embodied-AI startup RoboScience closed a Series A2 worth several hundred million yuan, its fifth round, co-led by a Shanghai semiconductor fund with 360 joining. Its pitch is cheap data from simulation and video, and its retail trials will test it.
RoboScience has closed a Series A2 worth several hundred million yuan, the Chinese embodied-AI startup said on Nov. 2 Beijing time. Hupo Capital, Hongruida Investment and Shanghai Semiconductor Industry Investment co-led; 360 Strategic Investment, Shuang Capital, Jinding Capital and several listed-company platforms joined. It is the company's fifth round, AI Tech Review reported.
The company is selling cheap data more than a robot. CEO Tian Ye told PEdaily that its simulation and video pipeline brings the cost of a single training sample down to 0.05 yuan, 1/20 to 1/200 of conventional methods, and that its video training data grew from 1 million to 4 million between early 2026 and October. That is the opposite bet to GenRobot, which announced its Series A+ the same day and records real people at work with wearables.
RoboScience pairs the RoboMirage physics simulator with Visics, a model that predicts how objects move in 3D and turns those trajectories into commands for any robot body, and it launched REX G1, a wheeled humanoid, in August. JD.com led its angel round in July 2025; Shuang Capital is backed by Hong Kong's Lee Kum Kee family. The money goes to model upgrades and to proof-of-concept trials in logistics, retail and industry.
Tian said partnerships with industrial companies will be announced soon. Those names are the checkpoint for the 0.05-yuan claim.
